The boundary has been measured.
Three independent instruments on a balloon above the Icelandic plateau found something at 90 to 100 kilometers that the standard atmospheric models do not account for. The something has properties the ancient vocabulary described in technical terms preserved across multiple independent traditions for three thousand years.
The physical paper is under review. The second balloon campaign is being prepared. The partial answer has opened a harder question: if the medium is real, and the ancient writers described it with precision, what was the nature of their access to it?
The ancient writers did not treat this as a philosophical puzzle. They treated it as a report. Someone had been there. Someone had seen it. Someone had come back.
Dr. Amos Holt and Dr. Mira Koren now have to decide what to do with that claim.
